This is very crucial as using which you can get an overall view about your business and the key areas where you need improvement. With the help of KPI portlets one can easily understand all the details about the business in a single glance. NetSuite’s real-time Dashboards provide you with business intelligence from a single system of record across all areas of your company—from accounting and sales, to fulfillment and support.
There are standard KPI’s offered by NetSuite and in addition you can add Custom KPI’s which are saved searches created by you. KPI Dashboard, provides a visual workspace that gives users instant, uninterrupted access to accurate information. A dashboard is available not only on your home page, but on every page you see in NetSuite except the Documents, Setup, and Customization pages. On your dashboards, you can view the data you need to make decisions, and edit records.
Dashboard content is displayed in a variety of portlets, dynamic data display windows. Some portlets provide direct access to raw data, and others display data that has been synthesized into critical business metrics, such as key performance indicators (KPIs), performance scorecards, trend graphs, and report snapshots.
To create Custom KPI’s in NetSuite you need to follow the two steps.
Note: KPIs cannot enforce summary search filters because KPI calculations do not include groupings. If a saved search used as a custom KPI includes any summary search filters, the result for the KPI may differ from results when the search is run.
